Fasting 6 days in Shawwaal

Messenger Shollalloohu 'alayhi wa sallam has said: "Whoever fasted Romadhon and then forward by 6 days in the month of Shawwal, it was as if he fasted throughout his life." (Narrated by Muslim, Abu Dawud, at-Tirmidhi, an-Nisaa'i and Ibn Maajah).

Fasting 6 days in the month of Shawwal after compulsory fasting in the month of fasting Sunnah Romadhon is Mustahabbah, not compulsory. But fasting is highly recommended to the Muslim ummah, because the good that many are available to him and the reward is huge. Whoever fasted 6 days in the month of Shawwal (after the fasting month on month Romadhon) will be collected his reward as he had been fasting for one full year, as narrated in the hadith Shohih.

Fasting is according to Imam Ahmad can be done in a row or no row and no excess from each other. Meanwhile, according to the Hanafi School and the School of Shafi'i, more mainstream to do in a row, named after the holiday.

Fasting the 9th of Dhu al-Hijjah (Arofah) for other than those who perform Hajj.

From Abu Qotadah Radhiyallohu 'Umar that the Messenger Shollalloohu' alayhi wa sallam said, "Fasting the day of Arafah to eliminate the sins for two years, that one year has elapsed and a year to come." (HR Jama'ah except Bukhory and Tirmidhi).

From Hafsah Radhiyallohu 'Anhuu, he said, "There are four things that have never left the Messenger Shollalloohu' alayhi wa sallam, namely fasting Ashura, the third month of fasting (ie the month Dhu al-Hijjah), fasting three days of each month, and pray two cycles before dawn . (Reported by Ahmad and Nasa'i).

From Uqbah Radhiyallohu Amir bin 'Umar that the Messenger Shollalloohu' alayhi wa sallam said, "Day of Arafah, the day of Sacrifice and the day-to-day feast Tasyriq are Muslims and these days are days of eating and drinking." (HR Khomsah (five priests Hadith) except Ibn Majah and expressed Shohih by Tirmidhi).

From Umm Fadhal Radhiyallohu 'Anha, he said, "They feel uncertain about the fasting of Prophet Shollalloohu' alayhi wa sallam at Arafat, then the Prophet Shollalloohu 'alayhi wa Sallam I send the milk. Then Prophet Shollalloohu' alayhi wa sallam drink it, was when he preached it in front of mankind on Arafat. " (HR Bukhory and Muslim).

Fasting Month and Highly Recommended Muharrom December 9 and 10 (Tasu'a and 'Asyuro).

From Abu Hurayroh Radhiyallohu 'Umar said, "Messenger Shollalloohu' alayhi wa sallam was asked, 'what more mainstream Islamic Prayer after prayer fardhu?" The Prophet said, 'Prayer in the middle of the night'. They asked, 'what more mainstream Fasting after fasting Romadhon? " The Prophet said, 'Fasting in the month of Allah that you call Muharrom'. " (Reported by Ahmad, Muslim, and Abu Daud).

From Muawiyah ibn Abu Sufyan Radhiyallohu 'Umar, he said, I heard the Messenger Shollalloohu' alayhi wa sallam said, "Today is a day of 'Asyuro and you are not obliged to fast to him. Now, I fasted, then who would, please fasting and who who do not, then please break. " (HR Bukhory and Muslim).

From Aisha Radhiyallohu 'Anha, he said, "Today' Asyuro 'is the day that a concern by the people of Quraish in the ignorant, the Messenger also commonly mempuasakannya. And when he came in Medina, he fasted on that day and ordered the people to participate fasting. So, when fasting is required Romadhon he said, 'Who would want to fast, let him fast and who wants to leave, let him break the fast'. " (Muttafaq alaihi).

From Ibn Abbas Radhiyallohu 'Umar, he said, "The Prophet Shollalloohu' alayhi wa sallam came to Medina and he saw the Jews fasting on the day 'Asyuro', the Prophet asked, 'What is this?" They said, days 'Asyuro' was a good day, the day Allah wa Subhaanahu Ta'aala Shollalloohu save Moses 'alayhi wa sallam and the Children of Israel from their enemies, so Musa fasted on that day. Later, the Prophet Shollalloohu' alayhi wa sallam said: 'I have more right to Moses than you,' then the Prophet Shollalloohu 'alayhi wa sallam fasting on that day and encourage people to fast on that day. " (Muttafaq alaihi).

From Abu Musa al-Ash'ari Radhiyallohu 'Umar, he said, "Today' Asyuro 'was celebrated by the Jews and they make it a feast. So, the Messenger Shollalloohu' alayhi wa sallam said," Fast on that day. "( Muttafaq alaihi).

From Ibn Abbas Radhiyallohu 'Umar, he said, "When the Messenger Shollalloohu' alayhi wa sallam fasted on 'Asyuro' and ordered the people to fast on that day, they said," Yes Messenger, he is a day celebrated by the Jews and Christians, "then the Prophet Shollalloohu 'alayhi wa sallam said," If you come next year, insha Allah we fasted on the ninth day (of month Muharrom). "Ibn Abbas said," So yet again come next year, the Messenger Shollalloohu' alayhi wa sallam is dead. "(Reported by Muslim and Abu Daud).

The scholars mention that fasting 'Asyuro that there are three levels:

The first level, fasting for three days ie the day of the ninth, tenth and eleventh.

The second level, fasted on the ninth and tenth.

The third level, fasting only on the tenth day only.

Fasting Month in Majority of Sha'ban.

From Aisha Radhiyallohu 'Anha said, "I do not see the Messenger Shollalloohu' alayhi wa sallam to do full within a month of fasting, except in Romadhon and not any one month that the Prophet Shollalloohu 'alayhi wa sallam did a lot in it than the month of fasting Ramadhan . (HR Bukhory and Muslim).

From Usama bin Zaid Radhiyallohu 'Umar said, "I said," O Messenger of Shollalloohu' alayhi wa sallam, not one month that you do a lot fast than the month of Ramadhan! ". The Prophet replied: "The moon is often forgotten, because it is between Rajab and Romadhon, being on the moon that human deeds appointed (reported) to God Rabbul 'Alamin. And so I want my charity was brought up while I was in fasting." (HR Nasa'i and expressed Shohih by Ibn Khuzaimah).

Fasting on Mondays and Thursdays

This is based on the hadith of Abu Hurayroh Radhiyallohu 'Umar that the Prophet Shollalloohu' alayhi wa sallam more often fasted on Mondays and Thursdays, then the people asked him about the cause of fasting, and the Prophet Shollalloohu 'alayhi wa sallam replied: "Verily deeds -deeds were presented on every Monday and Thursday, then Allah forgives every Muslim pleased, except the two people hostile, then Allah says, "Tangguhkanlah two people (hostile) that!" (Reported by Ahmad with a chain that Shohih).

In Shohih Muslim narrated that the Prophet Shollalloohu 'alayhi wa sallam asked people about fasting on Monday, then he said, "That day was born and that day is also the revelation sent down to me." (Muslim).

Fasting Days Every Three Months

From Abu Dharr al-Ghiffari Radhiyallohu 'Umar said, "We're ruled Messenger Shollalloohu' alayhi wa sallam to do fasting three days of each month, that the days of bright moon, ie on 13, 14 and 15, while the Apostle Shollalloohu 'alayhi wa sallam said, 'Fasting is like fasting a year (all time)'. " (Reported by Ibn Nasa'i and dishahihkan Hibban).

Hose-intermittent fasting (Fasting As David)

From Abdullah ibn Amr Radhiyallohu 'Umar said: Messenger Shollalloohu' alayhi wa sallam has said, "Fasting is the most favored of Allah fasting and prayers of David the most favored of Allah is the prayer of David. He slept half (half) nights, get a third, and then sleep seperenamnya, and he fasted one day and then break one day. "

Besides, should not be for a woman to fast if her husband is present sunna (not traveler) except with seizinnya, based on the hadeeth narrated by al-Bukhory and Muslim from Abu Hurayroh Radhiyallohu 'Anh that the Prophet ShallAllohu' alaihi wa sallam said: "It is not lawful for a woman with her husband when unruk fasting except with seizinnya "in another narration:" except fasting Romadhon "

As if the husband permits him to fast sunnah, or her husband was not present (travel), or the woman is not married, then the Sunnah is permissible for him to run fast, especially on days that are recommended for fasting Sunnah are: Fasting Mondays and Thursdays, fasting three days in each month, fasting six days in Shawwal, fasting in the ten days in the month of Dhu al-Hijjah and the day 'Arofah, fasting' Asyuro and fasting the day before or after.

Left forbidden fasting is a time where Muslims are prohibited from fasting. Silver lining is that when all the people happy, a person needs to participate together to celebrate. Fasting on Eid al-Fitr (1 Shawwal), fasting on Eid al-Adha (10 Dhu al-Hijjah), fasting on the days Tasyrik (11, 12, and 13 Dhu al-Hijjah).

In addition to these days, there is also a time when Muslims are encouraged not to fast, ie when there are relatives or friends who are having a party or wedding celebration. Legal fasted on this day is not forbidden, but makruh, because Allah does not like if someone just thinking about the life hereafter only temporary social life (keeping in touch with relatives or people) abandoned.

Fasting is also good for health, as the promise of Allah wa Ta'aala Subhaanahu given to a fasting person is confirmed by the words of the Prophet Muhammad Shollalloohu 'alayhi wa sallam is narrated by Ibn Abu Suny and Nu'aim:''Fast then you will be healthy.'' With the fast will be healthy physical, spiritual and social relationships.

Benefits of fasting for the body, no one medical expert both Muslims and non Muslims who doubt the benefits of fasting for human health. In a book entitled''Health Care in Islam''by Dr. Mahmud Ahmad Najib (Professor of Faculty of Medicine, Ain-Shams University of Egypt), stressed fasting is very useful for health. Among others:

First, the fast decrease of blood circulation as a balance to prevent perspiration and vapor through the pores of the skin and urinary tract without the need to replace it. According to cardiac output in distributing blood throughout the blood vessels will make the blood circulation decreases. And it gives the chance of heart muscle to rest, after working hard a year. Fasting will allow the heart to improve the vitality and strength of the cells.

Second; Fasting gives the opportunity for digestive tools to rest after working hard all year. Stomach and bowel rest for a few hours of its activities, as well as provide an opportunity to heal the existing wound infections and so it can close the meeting. The process also stops food absorption so that the ammonia acid, glucose and salt does not go into the intestines. Thus, the gut cells can no longer make the composition of glycogen, protein and cholesterol. Besides, in terms of food, in terms of motion (sports), in the month of fasting so many movements are carried out primarily through worship. ***
